Getting Fucked In The Ass By An AI Controlled Robot
AT&T can't be trusted not to take advantage of you. Especially if you're on a fixed income. An old woman, Marge Ciofani, had a landline with call waiting, caller ID, and long distance for $86 per month for more than a decade. She died and her grandson inherited her home and he had the same phone bill for years. THEN, AT&T decided to upgrade their system in the area and he lost phone service for 2 weeks. When the service was finally restored, he found that he no longer had call waiting nor caller ID. When he called AT&T, he got an outsourced Indian "customer service" rep who barely comprehended English. He tried to get the problem fixed with this incompetent "rep". But she charged him for his preexisting services as if he never had them before. His $86 per month bill went up to $118 per month! For the EXACT SAME SERVICE he had before AT&T messed up and ruined his service! 2 hours were wasted on the phone to try to make the Indian incompetent understand that he should be restored to the same service for the same price that was paid at the address for DECADES. She couldn't comprehend English and therefore could not understand what he was trying to convey to her in plain English. That was 6 months ago. He's still being overcharged for his service simply because AT&T messed up the lines when they "upgraded".
This is the treatment you can expect from AT&T. Boycott that joke of a company!
